Shave your head for the NHS

A member of staff at a Somerset salon has bravely shaved her head for charity.

Deborah Isaac, of The Hair Salon in Station Road, Worle is bravely raising money for the NHS Charities Together, formerly the Association of NHS Charities. The ‘charities together’ campaign was set up as the NHS is yet again facing the most challenging period in its history.

Donations to NHS Charities Together will improve services for patients and support NHS staff to continue their vital work.

Colleagues were very impressed with brave Deborah

So far brave Deborah has raised an amazing £600, but this is still £400 short of her £1,000 target.

She said: “I know I’ve done it before but I’ve decided to do it again.

“Yes I have shaved my head – this time it’s for all of the wonderful NHS workers out there.”

If you’re into quirky things like this, then why not give it a go?

Alternatively if you’re not quite brave enough – who is? – then you can donate directly to Deborah’s JustGiving. Simply go to https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/going-bare-to-show-i-care and fill out the form. All money goes to NHS Charities Together.

You can also partake in the ‘Clap for Carers’ to show your support for the NHS, which is still ongoing.

By using the nhsDiscounts.org.uk website, you are directly supporting the great work that NHS Charities Together do, as we donate a percentage of our profits to them every year.
